Responsibilities

•Engage in research and development activities related to the design of professional loudspeaker products which may include systems and/or components analysis, simulation and development.
•Participate in cross-functional product development teams providing input into product definitions and designs for loudspeakers and associated system hardware.
•Develop and conduct analysis or simulation of audio and acoustic components or systems.
•Create custom software tools and/or programs where necessary.
•Evaluate prototype components and systems using specialized acoustic measurement equipment and test rigs.
•Write technical reports related to acoustic components and systems test and qualification.
•Identify concerns, make design changes recommendation to product team.
•Participate in new acoustical technology research and development.

Qualifications

•Master’s degree in Acoustics, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering field (or foreign equivalent).
•Requires education, training, knowledge, or experience in each of the following skills:◦Finite Element Modeling including transient non-linear response analysis, meshing and validation of models using major multiphysics solvers, such as COMSOL or LS-DYNA;
◦Computer Aided Design (CAD) packages including Solidworks;
◦Scientific programming using Matlab;
◦Measurement techniques and data acquisition using systems including Labview;
◦Frequency domain analysis, including Fourier transforms, Bode plots and sampling theory including Fourier Transforms and sampling theory;
◦Mechanical aptitude in machining and woodworking.
◦Requires 5% international travel
