Much like sound design for theatre, sound design for improv has the role of creating an immersive experience for the audience. The sound effects, lights, and music for improv are a very vital part of the show. Unlike theatre, in improv, lights and sound are totally improvised along with the story on stage. This hands-on training, located at a BATS improv show, will give you an inside look at what it takes to be an improv sound designer. Director and sound tech Ana Nelson will give a run down of her typical day and show duties. After the training, you can stay for the incredible improv show starting at 8:00pm!
