Vocal Production (Intro + Advanced) with Bri Holland | LA

Vocal Production (Intro + Advanced) with Bri Holland!

Join Women’s Audio Mission for a two-part workshop with GRAMMY- and GOLDEN REEL-nominated vocal engineer and producer Bri Holland. With credits spanning platinum artists (Jennifer Nettles, The Weeknd), Film/TV (tick, tick… BOOM!, Vivo, Dear Evan Hansen, Princess Power), and Theater (Sweeney Todd, AZUL), Bri brings a range of extensive experience and insight, and a true passion for the craft, to the intimate art of vocal production.

In session 1, Intro to Vocal Production (1:30-3:30 PM), get grounded in the essentials as Bri equips participants with fundamental concepts and skills, like signal flow, session setup, mic selection, recording techniques, vocal coaching/studio psychology, comping, fading, and exporting deliverables.

In session 2, Advanced Vocal Production (4:00-6:00 PM), dive deeper into the nitty-gritty of vocal production with Bri’s signature approaches to manual vocal tuning (Melodyne, AutoTune, Varispeed), audio repair (iZotope RX), and vocal mixing (EQ, compression, saturation, reverb, delay, FX, +).

Both sessions are taught in Pro Tools, and skills are applicable across all DAWs. Whether you’re a producer, engineer, singer, songwriter, or recording artist, this is your chance to sharpen your vocal production toolkit within one of the most supportive professional environments in the industry.

WAM Workshop Policies and Guidelines

Women’s Audio Mission’s classes and programs focus on increasing the gender balance in audio production and technology sectors since less than 5% of the population employed in these sectors are women. There are limited spots available in our classes and programs, and they often sell out, so we ask that if you are not woman-identified (transgender or cisgender), non-binary, or gender non-expansive, you reconsider enrolling in the class. We will not turn anyone away, but please be mindful that if you take up a seat in class, that is one less woman or gender-diverse individual that we can serve. We thank you for your understanding in advance and for joining us in our mission to advance women and girls in music production and the recording arts.
