STUDIO RENTAL POLICY:

In order to book a session, you must use a WAM-certified engineer. This studio has subsidized (low) rates because we are a non-profit organization with a mission to advance women and gender-expansive individuals in the recording industry by providing opportunities to earn professional engineering credits. Please respect this policy. Outside producers are welcome, but the actual engineering (setting up microphones, touching the gear, turning the knobs, etc.) must be performed by a WAM-certified engineer.

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

First, fill out the online WAM Session Information/Booking Form.

All sessions are led by WAM’s professional staff engineers — not students or interns. You’ll be working with experienced producers, mixers, and recordists using high-end gear in acoustically treated rooms. Supportive, inclusive vibes come standard.

MUSIC SESSION PACKAGES

50% deposit required to confirm booking, full payment required before files are released

Half-Day Session – Up to 4 hours – $350 (WAM Members: $280)
 Ideal for overdubs, vocals, small ensemble tracking. Includes setup, tracking, rough mix bounce, and file transfer. (Not recommended for drum kit recording due to setup time involved)

Full-Day Session – Up to 8 hours – $600 (WAM Members: $480)
 Perfect for full band tracking, drums, creative production work, or a day of mixing with our professional engineers. Includes setup, tracking, rough mix bounces, and file transfer.

Unattended Mix Flat Rate – $250/song (WAM Members: $200/song)
 For projects that don’t require attended sessions — ideal for remote clients, archival material, or fast-moving productions. Includes 1 round of mix revisions, final stereo mix, and instrumental stem. Mixing covers balance, tone, and creative polish. Heavy editing, tuning, or new arrangement work may be billed separately at $75/hr.

Unattended Dolby Atmos Mix Flat Rate – $350/song (WAM Members: $280/song)
 Take your music into the next dimension with a fully realized spatial mix. Our engineers craft immersive Atmos mixes in our Dolby Certified 7.1.4 mix room from your stems to deliver a cinematic listening experience. This option is perfect for artists seeking a high-impact, forward-thinking presentation of their work. Includes one round of revisions and ADM/MP4 deliverables. 

Unattended mix sessions do not include studio access and are performed remotely. For in-person attended mixing, please see our half-day and full-day rates above.

Bundle pricing applies only to consecutive studio days to encourage focused sessions and help you get the most out of your time with our engineers.

Single Package – 1 Day Tracking & 1 Day Mixing – $1,150 (WAM Members: $920)
 Track and mix up to 3 songs in two focused studio days — ideal for artists ready to capture and polish a single or short release. Includes an engineer, all in-house equipment, 1 mix revision per track, stems, and reference masters.

Unattended Mix Bundle – 3 Songs – $725 (WAM Members: $580)
 Three songs, professionally mixed with no need for client attendance. Includes 1 mix revision per track, final stereo mixes, and instrumental/a cappella stems — ideal for remote projects or fast turnarounds.

EP Package – 2 Days Tracking + 2 Days Mixing – $2,200 (WAM Members: $1,760)
 A focused four-day production sprint for up to 5 songs — perfect for bands with tight, dialed-in arrangements. Includes pre-production consult, an engineer, final stereo mixes, stems, and mastering prep. Reference masters available upon request.

Full-Length Lockout – 5 Days to Track or Mix – $2,600 (WAM Members: $2,080)
 A full week of studio access (up to 40 hours) for tracking, overdubbing, and creative production. Ideal for bands looking to dive deep into a full-length project, lay down foundational tracking, or complete a short release in a focused environment. Includes engineer, all in-house equipment, and dedicated support throughout.
 Note: Most full-length albums also require a dedicated week of mixing. Ask us about adding mixing days for a complete project package.

PODCAST, VOICEOVER & AUDIOBOOK PACKAGES

Standard Podcast Session – Up to 2 Hours – $250 (WAM Members: $200)
 Engineer included. Studio prepped and ready upon arrival. Remote patch-in (Zoom, Riverside) included. Multitrack or stereo mixdown files delivered. 

Podcast Plus – Up to 3 Hours – $350 (WAM Members: $280)
 Light editing (top/tail, cleanup). Remote patch-in support. Edited and raw multitracks delivered.

Turnkey Podcast Episode – Up to 3 Hours – $650 (WAM Members: $520)
 Full editing & final mix. Intro/outro/music integration (client-provided). 2 minor revisions included. Broadcast-ready MP3 + raw files delivered.

HD Video Add-On – $100 flat per session
 Static Blackmagic camera setup. Raw HD footage delivered (client must bring hard drive). No editing or directing included.

AUDIOBOOKS & VOICEOVER
WAM engineers follow the text along in real time to catch flubs, mark pickups, and ensure smooth, accurate delivery. Whether punch-and-roll or longform, this rate reflects the focus and detail required to deliver clean, publisher-ready files.

Voiceover Session – Up to 2 Hours – $300 (WAM Members: $240)
 Ideal for commercial, eLearning, and other shortform narration. Includes engineer, studio setup, real-time support, and file delivery with light editing. Remote patch-in available for producers or directors.

Audiobook Half Day – Up to 4 Hours – $500 (WAM Members: $360)
 Ideal for short-form chapters or smaller projects. Includes all of the above. 

Audiobook Day Rate – Up to 7 Hours Recording – $700 (WAM Members: $560)
 Full-day focus for long-form narration or multiple chapters. Includes all of the above plus a 1-hour lunch break built into the session; total studio access is 8 hours. 

Not sure which session is right for your project?

Podcast sessions are designed for conversational formats, with remote guest support and fast file delivery. Voiceover sessions are better suited for shortform, performance-driven narration like commercials and eLearning — with tighter takes, light editing, and focused engineer monitoring for clarity and delivery.

ADD-ONS & SERVICES

Add-on rates are flat and not subject to WAM membership discounts unless otherwise noted.

Additional studio hours – $100/hr (WAM Members: $80/hr)
Extend your session for extra tracking, overdubs, or mixing.

Vocal tuning & editing – $75/song
Pitch correction, timing adjustments, minor comping outside of standard mixing.  

Extra mix revision rounds – $50 each
Applies per song, per revision round after any included rounds are used

  • A revision round is a single consolidated set of mix notes (e.g. “turn up vocals,” “less reverb on snare”)
  • Revisions do not include editing, tuning, arrangement changes, or adding new stems — those are considered part of a remix or additional production and will be billed at our standard hourly rate ($100/hr)

Session recalls & old project stem delivery – $25/song

  • Quick re-delivery of already bounced files (i.e. no additional work required) is free within 3 months of project completion
  • Additional work beyond a simple stem bounce (mix revisions, remixing, editing) is billed at standard session or revision rates

Session streaming via Audiomovers – $50 flat per day
Real-time remote listening and feedback, streaming link provided. 

BOOKING & PAYMENTS

MUSIC SESSIONS: For Indie Artists & Individuals

  • Half total booking payment required in advance to confirm bookings
  • Remaining balance due before files are released
  • Payment via credit card, debit card, or ACH

Cancellations & Reschedules

  • 72+ hours before session: Full refund or free reschedule.
  • 24–72 hours before session: 50% refund or one-time free reschedule.
  • Less than 24 hours: No refund.

Package Sessions

  • No refunds once the first session is used.
  • Sessions must be used within 3 months of booking otherwise agreed.
  • Package sessions cannot be prorated or transferred to other clients.

For Corporate Clients

  • Net 30 terms available with approved PO/contract.
  • 10% late fee applies after 30 days.
  • New clients may be asked for a deposit prior to service. 

CAN WE GET A TOUR OF THE STUDIO?

Sorry, at this time we do not have the staff to provide studio tours on demand – we cannot interrupt our clients’ recording sessions. However, we have quarterly open houses which you are welcome to attend for a brief tour. To find out when our next open house is, please check our Eventbrite page. We have an extensive amount of photos of the studio on the website.

 

HOW DO I GET MY FILES/DATA?

If you are not mixing your project at WAM and will be taking the multitrack files, you must provide an empty, external, USB-A or USB-C, Apple OS X-compatible hard drive before the end of the session so the files can be transferred. We track in Pro Tools Ultimate and will deliver the session file and the audio files in that format. If you need the files prepped for mix elsewhere on a different system, that process may require booking extra time if it is an extensive project or many tracks. Make sure you budget sufficient studio time in your session to back up your files. If we have to book extra time beyond your session to deliver or backup files we will have to bill you an additional $100/hour to do that with a 1 hour minimum. Keep in mind we cannot interrupt another client’s session to transfer your files.

 

I AM UNDER 18, HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?

We love working with young artists! Minors must have the permission of their legal guardian before booking a session and the legal guardian must arrange payment. There must be legal guardian present during the studio sessions. If the legal guardian cannot stay for the full session, they must be present at the beginning of the session to give permission for the artist to be there, and must pick up the artist at the end of the session.

 

SMOKING/ALCOHOL/DRUGS PROHIBITED IN THE STUDIO:

Please respect that our facility is a smoke, alcohol, and drug-free zone. Women’s Audio Mission reserves the right to deny access to our premises and services to those clearly under the influence of drugs or alcohol or who don’t respect our studio’s policies.

NO Pets: Due to consideration of others, WAM studios do not allow pets.
